IKIGAI

IKIGAI is a Japanese term that is derived from iki, meaning life and kai, meaning the realization of hopes and expectations.

Why IKIGAI is important?

Do you want to live longer?

IKIGAI is about finding the reason for being. As per the book IKIGAI, purpose-driven life is one of the secrets behind people who are living longer in Okinawan culture. IKIGAI is also associated with finding the answer to “why I wake up in the morning”?

IKIGAI Questionnaire

IKIGAI provides a unique philosophy to strive for the answers of below-mentioned questions:

  • What do you love?
  • What you are good at?
  • What does the world need?
  • What you can be paid for?

Why it’s even relevant for Corporate?
As per various studies, the disengaged workforce is negatively impacting the productivity and performance of the organizations. IKIGAI can be useful in finding the preferred profile/department suitable to an individual’s IKIGAI and thus a change of the profile/department can be done within the same organization. This can enhance the employee’s work satisfaction and in turn, improve organizational productivity too.
